I participated the FAOPS 2024 Seoul on September 5 and 6, 2024. And I made my presentation titled “Multiple positive points during the 75 g oral glucose tolerance test are good predictors of early insulin therapy in gestational diabetes mellitus diagnosed before 24 gestational weeks” at oral presentation session. Recently, GDM diagnosed in early pregnancy has been focused worldwide, because the TOBOGM study had been published on the New England Journal of Medicine last year. Therefore, I received many questions and comments for my presentation, and I could discuss early GDM with specialists from other Asian countries. Therefore, I decided that I should report further research on early GDM for all pregnant women.
Furthermore, some editorial lectures were very useful and important for me. Especially, the prevention of preterm delivery is one of the most important issues for all countries. Although the backgrounds on each country are different, for physicians in all Asian countries, I felt that the passion to eliminate premature delivery remained the same. I enjoyed the FAOPS 2024 Seoul and Korea.
