FAOPS 2024 Seoul Participation Report

Hidetoshi Go

Department of Pediatric, Nihon University Itabashi Hospital

I was honored to receive the Young Researcher Dispatch Grant and had the opportunity to participate in the 23rd Congress of FAOPS in Seoul. That was my second time attending FAOPS following last year’s conference. But it was my first experience at an international conference abroad. I felt anxious as soon as I reached the reception desk due to my poor English skills. I regret that I was not able to communicate well in my poster presentation. That motivated me to work harder on improving my English skills. My attending an international conference was an invaluable experience for me, as I have had few opportunities to interact with people from other countries.
Listening to presentations from both Japanese and international speakers was extremely meaningful. I gained a deeper understanding of the various issues and perspectives across countries. And I have seen to the new research to me.
Overall, I am committed to furthering my research and clinical experience, so I can contribute to the well-being of preterm babies in the future. I would like to express my heartful gratitude to everyone at the Japanese Society of Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine for making this experience possible.
