FAOPS 2024 Seoul Participation Report

I attended and gave a presentation at the 23rd Congress of FAOPS in Seoul. I was excited about this international conference because it brought together many perinatal professionals from across Asia and Oceania. The discussions exceeded my expectations, with lively debates on how each country handles daily and serious issues in their own medical, social, and ethical situations.
Our presentation focused on the changes in serum albumin levels in preterm infants after birth. Although serum albumin is commonly measured in routine care, there is still limited evidence on how to properly evaluate and manage it. The data we presented are still preliminary, but they help address this gap, and we hope to continue adding more evidence with further research.
This was my first visit to South Korea, and I enjoyed trying the local food during the conference breaks. I was especially impressed by the kindness of the local people, both at the venue and in the city.
Finally, I am very grateful to everyone who made it possible for me to attend this important event, and I look forward to applying the knowledge I gained to my work.
