FAOPS 2024 Seoul Participation Report

Normal ranges of renin and aldosterone levels in term and preterm infants at and after birth
 
I received travel grants for young researchers from the Japan Society of Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine and participated in FAOPS 2024.
 
It was my first time attending an international conference, and I found it fascinating how the medical practice and research varied due to the different cultural and social backgrounds of each country. The sessions were filled with active discussions, allowing me to gain precious experiences that I wouldn’t have had in Japan.
 
I gave a poster presentation titled “Normal ranges of renin and aldosterone levels in term and preterm infants at and after birth.” In the future, I hope to be able to engage in more active discussions regarding my research projects. 
 
Outside of conference session, I also had the opportunity to experience Korean food and culture, which was really wonderful sightseeing.
 
I am grateful for the support and am determined to apply this experience to my future clinical practice and research, striving to improve even further.
