Overview of the conference
I participated in FAOPS 2025 in Kathmandu. The conference brought together doctors and nurses from perinatal fields abroad to discuss recent innovation and technologies. The event featured oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops.

Purpose of participation
My primary purpose for attending the conference was to present my research on painless delivery at our hospital in Japan.

Presentation summary
During the conference, I presented my research titled “Status of epidural delivery at our hospital in Japan” in the session “accelerated technologies for maternal health and outcomes”. In this presentation, I reviewed the status of painless delivery at our hospital and the trend in Japan. Also, I evaluated number of painless deliveries, planned painless delivery outcome, and overall mode of delivery.

Findings and insights
Several presentations including Prof. Shinji Tanigaki’s from Kyorin University Hospital highlighted cervical cerclage in several ways. Those were very interesting, and I learned a great deal about surgical techniques that are not performed at our hospital.

Conclusion
Attending the conference was an enriching experience. It provided valuable insights into international perinatal practices and strengthened professional networks across the region. I hope to apply the knowledge gained to further improve safe painless deliveries at our hospital.
