I presented our study, “Effects of Caffeine Loading on Cerebral Hemodynamic Changes with Apnea in Preterm Infants,” at the PSANZ + FOAPS conference. During the poster session, we had meaningful discussions regarding the interpretation of our findings, particularly the transient changes in cerebral oxygenation and hemodynamics following caffeine administration. It was inspiring to exchange ideas with researchers and clinicians who share a strong interest in perinatal medicine and neonatal physiology.
Through these interactions, I gained valuable perspectives that will help refine our future analyses and interpretation of results. At the same time, I experienced some difficulty in fully understanding spoken English during discussions, which highlighted the importance of improving my listening and speaking skills for international collaboration. Also, I enjoyed lunch and tea time during the sessions. Also, I enjoyed lunch and tea time during sessions. This is quite different from a Japanese conference. The atmosphere made me relax.
Overall, this experience was highly motivating and reinforced my commitment to advancing research in neonatal cerebral hemodynamics and contributing to the field of perinatal medicine.
I am sincerely grateful for the grant that supported my attendance at this international conference.
